Remote Patient Monitoring

In an effort to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients who may be on controlled substances for various conditions, we are an RTM practice.

What is RTM?
Remote Therapeutic Monitoring is a program designed to allow your medical provider team to view your progress and vitals outside of the office. It is beneficial and necessary in order to track your pain levels, medication side effects, vitals/oxygen levels, and overall experience as you try out new treatments.

What does RTM Consist of?
For the patient, all that is required is for you to complete a digital tracking form 2-3x per week in order to log your information consistently. Think of it as a digital pain journal that your provider has access to. There are a total of 9 questions that the patient completes each time, and the input should not take more than 2-5 minutes each time. The patient will have a monthly appointment to go over progress and refill/change medication(s) as necessary.

Why is it Important?
In a world with an ongoing opioid crisis and ever-increasing medical ailments, it is incredibly important to ensure treatments given by physicians are both safe and effective. Daily monitoring of symptoms, medication side effects, pain levels and vitals are a very important part in a patient’s plan of care, and being able to provide your medical team with this information outside the office allows for real-time tracking of your safety and well-being.
