Robert Kelly, D.O.
Board-Certified, Fellowship Trained
President of Pennsylvania Pain and Spine Institute
Dr. Kelly completed his residency at Harvard Medical School and then completed a prestigious subspecialty Pain Medicine Fellowship at Cooper University Hospital. Dr. Kelly also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. Kelly’s areas of interest include: back pain, sports medicine, ultrasound guided therapies & diagnostics, individualized rehabilitation & occupational therapy programs, unique treatments for neuropathic pain, minimally invasive procedures & surgeries for pain relief, manual medicine, and various forms of acupuncture for pain relief and sports performance. The foundation of his care philosophy is based on a functional restorative approach so that patients are able to maximize their physical and emotional well-being.



David Qu, M.D., M.S.
Board-Certified, Fellowship Trained
Founder of Pennsylvania Pain and Spine Institute
Dr. Qu completed intense medical training at Harvard Medical School and the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated from Harvard Medical School’s residency program in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Boston, Massachusetts, and then completed his fellowship in pain medicine through the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Qu also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. His areas of interest include: musculoskeletal pain and injuries of the entire body, neurologic pain conditions, minimally invasive surgeries and more regarding various pain conditions and treatments.



Dr. David Bozak, D.O.
Board-Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Dr. Bozak completed his residency at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore and is Board-Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R). He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the North American Spine Society. Dr. Bozak’s areas of interest include minimally invasive pain treatments of the joints, nerves, muscles and spine, joint procedures under imaging guidance, diagnosis of pain origins, and regenerative medicine treatments. Dr. Bozak is also an elite cyclist and CrossFit competitor, and has competed on American Ninja Warrior.



Christian Acharte, M.D., M.P.H
Board-Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Fellowship Trained
Dr. Acharte completed his residency at the University of Pennsylvania and Fellowship at Pennsylvania Pain and Spine Institute. He is Board-Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R). He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilition, Spine Intervention Society, and North American Neuromodulation Society. Dr. Acharte’s areas of interest include: treating spine, joint and complex neurologic conditions. Dr. Acharte is head of the Pennsylvania Pain and Spine Institute’s research initiative. He has helped organize partnerships with nationwide research studies to provide our patients with access to new surgery sparing procedures, and greater options to treat their pains. Dr. Acharte is fluent in both English & Spanish.



Jeffrey Boyd, D.O.
Board-Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Fellowship Trained
Dr. Boyd completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Thomas Jefferson University where he served as Chief Resident. He completed a prestigious fellowship in Interventional Spine and Musculoskeletal Medicine at the Rothman Orthopedic Institute. He is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and is an active member of the Spine Intervention Society, North American Spine Society and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Boyd provides comprehensive non-operative spine and musculoskeletal care with a focus on minimally invasive treatments for low back and neck pain as well as ultrasound guided peripheral joint therapies. His practice emphasizes the principles of osteopathic medicine, highlighting the interrelation between structure and function while promoting healing of the body and mind.



Amanda Hyland, PA-C
Amanda Hyland PA-C graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, and graduated from Salus University with a Master of Medical Science (MMS) in Physician Assistant studies in 2017. Amanda’s areas of interest include: acute and chronic pain conditions, and maintaining proper health and lifestyle habits. Her passion in health and wellness led her to also become a volunteer on medical mission trips to Haiti.



Jennifer Della Guardia, PA-C
Jennifer Delta Guardia, PA-C has over 27 years experience as a Physician’s Assistant. Her vast experience includes: Urgent Care at the Philadelphia Veterans Medical Center, Geriatric Rehabilitative Medicine, ENT & Allergy Specialists, and she was previously contracted for the Department of Homeland Security in Family Medicine. She is an active member of the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants, and the American Academy of Physicians Assistants. Her experience with veterans and geriatric rehab give her a unique perspective on patients suffering with acute and chronic pain, allowing her to educate patients in pain medicine and rehabilitative therapies to support positive outcomes. Jennifer is also a competitive swimmer and certified swim teacher, competing with and co-coaching the Spring Valley YMCA Masters Swim Team for the past 12 years where she continues to instruct Adult Aquatics Fitness Classes.



Judy Le, PA-C
Judy Le, PA-C graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State University in 2016. She went on to gain experience in the healthcare field as a medical assistant at Pennsylvania Pain and Spine before graduating with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2020. She believes in treating the whole person and working with every member of the care team to find treatment plans that are tailored to each individual.



Lauren Bruce, PA-C
Lauren Bruce, PA-C received her undergraduate degree in Biobehavioral Health at The Pennsylvania State University in 2017. She worked as a medical assistant at Pennsylvania Pain and Spine to gain hands-on patient experience before going on to receive her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She returns to Pennsylvania Pain and Spine eager/excited to creative comprehensive care plans for each patient through compassionate understanding and overall helping improve their quality of life.



Tara Dupre, PA-C
Tara Dupre, PA-C graduated in 2016 from University of Miami after studying exercise physiology for her undergraduate degree. She moved to the Pennsylvania area for her Physician Assistant program at Arcadia University. After graduating in 2020 she worked in the emergency department throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2023 she joined the Pennsylvania Pain and Spine team and is excited to get to know her patients and help them feel better so they can live healthier, more fulfilling lives. In her spare time she enjoys caring for her rescue dog, traveling, and reading.
