Symptoms of Joint Pain
Symptoms depend on the joint affected and severity of the condition:

Joint Pain Diagnosis

- Imaging tests:

- MRI: Identifies ligament, cartilage, and soft tissue damage
- Ultrasound: Provides real-time imaging of joints, ligaments, and tendons; guides minimally invasive injections [Elshimy et al., 2023; Lee et al., 1996]

Image-Guided Joint Injections
Joint injections are done under fluoroscopy guided imaging and inject medications intended to help reduce inflammation and improve comfort and mobility.

Regenerative Therapies
Two types of regenerative therapies can be used to address inflammation and support healing and symptom relief in appropriate cases. Platelet-rich Plasma and Prolotherapy are used for this treatment.

Medication & Topicals
Various anti-inflammatory medications are used to address inflammation and pain. There are also topical agents for inflammation that can help treat these symptoms.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP): Uses patient’s platelets to stimulate tissue repair and reduce inflammation Studies show PRP can improve healing in chronic ligament and tendon injuries [Chen et al., 2018] Prolotherapy: Injects a mild irritant to stimulate the body’s natural healing process, increasing ligament strength [Jensen et al., 2008]
